INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

California Beauty Academy has developed a curriculum that employs the latest and most advanced approach to cosmetology training. This 600-hour program is designed for the currently licensed cosmetologist who wants to pursue a cosmetology instructor license through the California State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

The course of study develops a solid foundation of the knowledge and skills necessary for success as an instructor. Focus is on cosmetology principles and techniques applied to instruction teaching methods, lesson planning, curriculum development, presentation methods, application techniques, evaluation processes, and instruction materials.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to demonstrate strategic teaching principles, illustrate and apply theoretical and practical skills to beginning students, and formulate and organize lesson plans.
